Hi there, it's Lion Mom and I just returned from a recent visit to Kuala Lumpur with my sister, mother, aunt and cousin. We spent 3 nights there but I'll share more about other segments of that trip another time. For now, let's dive into Cardcaptor Sakura Exhibition 2025 is a limited time only exhibition which will end on 11 June 2025.
I've known about this Cardcaptor Sakura exhibition since March and decided I'll make a stop there when my family visited in May. The reason to visit was more compelled by nostalgia because my sister and I used to watch the anime. Many may have already seen videos of the exhibition on Instagram, so I'm going to share what was different between my experience versus the videos I've seen.
I visited on 31st May, a Saturday, at around 11am. To my surprise the Cardcaptor Sakura exhibition wasn't very crowded.
Tickets could be bought on-site at Fahrenheit 88, specifically at Incubase Arena. Each adult tickets cost RM50, which I found reasonably priced. I believe if the same exhibition were to be held in Singapore, it wouldn't be priced in that range.
First thing after the purchase of the tickets: Photo Op! There were some cosplayers there, we're not sure if they were part of the exhibition but we asked for photos anyway.

Now let's move on to the actual exhibition. They are mostly static displays (which probably explains the pricing too) so I wouldn't spend too much time talking about it. You may browse through the photos below.
Area 1: House of Cards
There's nothing much here, just some displays of the books that stores the cards. Each one telling the story of Cardcaptor Sakura and it's universe. Hope over to my Instagram to view the videos and pictures I got from this area.
Area 2: Room of Flowers.
This area is slightly interactive: each visitor will get to choose a flower sticker. Most stickers were randomly placed, but the 3 i shared below were the nicest when viewed individually.
Area 3: Costume Room
The Custome Room features only 4 costumes even though Sakura changes into a different outfit in almost every episode. I've shared my childhood favourite one here. You can view the rest on my Instagram too.

Area 4 & 5: Timeline and Original Art
There wasn't much to see in these two areas. One room featured a timeline of all Cardcaptor Sakura comic and anime releases, along with some original comic books and a large Kero balloon for picture taking.
However, there is also a super long gallery where photo-taking was not allowed (which was why you can't see much online content about it), displaying copies of the original drawings. This gallery felt a bit too long and, to be honest, boring for my liking. By now, I actually started wondering if the RM50 ticket price was actually worth it, as it felt more like a viewing gallery rather than an interactive experience.
Area 6: Card Gallery
This is the last exhibition area, and it displays the complete deck of Clow Cards, Star Cards and Clear Cards. I've shared favourite card from the anime here.
To keep visitors engaged, participants were each given a paper for the Cardcaptor Sakura stamp rally -- an increasingly popular activity, apparently! My sister and I collected a stamp at each the areas and was rewarded with a special Clear Card at the end.
When I watched videos online, the card was depicted as a 'Thank you' Clear Card. But we were given a 'Happiness' Clear Card similar to the one pictured below, but in a convenient bookmark size. I enquired why our card was different from the one I had seen and was informed this is the card for Phase 2 of the exhibition. It seemed quite peculiar that a new phase was introduced when the exhibition is closing in two weeks.

The Souvenir Shop: Pricey Merch and Blind Bag Woes
After the exhibition areas, we arrived at the souvenir shop. The merchandises were rather expensive, but my sister and I decided that since we were already there, we should get something to remeber our visit.
Most items did not offer good value for money and the only item truly worth getting was the Cardcaptor Sakura magnets, priced at RM42 each. But alas, they were sold in blind bags. So we ended up getting 6 for ourselves, hoping for good variety. We weren't too lucky though as we ended up with four repeats. My recommendation if you're looking to get yourselves these magnets, just get 1 or 2 will do.
So now that I’ve completed the exhibition, here’s my rating for this activity using my self-developed Price-to-Experience Index Formula. PEI will be derived from measuring Cost, Experience & Value for Money
Cost: 3.5
Experience: 4.0
Value for Money: 3.5
Price-to-Experience Index (PEI): 11.4
With a PEI of >10, this exhibit offers good value in terms of the cost and quality of the exhibition. Tickets price was reasonable, the exhibition was not overly crowded even an a Saturday and the staff were generally helpful, polite and nice. Signs where no phototaking was allowed are also prominently displayed to avoid disputes.
