This post shall cover Days 3 and 4 of the trip because Day 4 was the day we left KL, so there wasnt much to share.
So, I already talked about the first half of Day 3 at the Cardcaptor Sakura exhibit in my last post – I went into detail about it all. My sis and I were there, and the younger ones were clothes shopping, all matching their color analysis thing. We met up around 11:30 and then Grabbed to KLCC for Peruvian food! Check out our Lemon8 for pics of everything we ate.
My Aunt has tried Peruvian food in Singapore, but she found it to be too expensive so this place was suggested when planning our trip. Drop me a comment if you would like to know the name of the restaurant.
The food and drinks were amazing, and you gotta try their fish (see pic!), but skip the duck – it was way too tough and gamey.

After lunch, we went to Softē (it's was a 10min walk from KLCC, still manageable for my mom who had aching feet) for ice cream. They had superb reviews on Google, so we had to give it a try! And boy! It did not disappoint! Definitely have to order their magdalines, which were freshly made and went well with the ice cream! Matcha was also very popular, but it's not something I had learnt to appreciate at this point.
After desserts, we took Grab to Chinatown and 鬼仔街. Chinatown was a huge disappointment because the shops were mainly selling imitation shoes, jerseys and perfume. Every corner we turned sold the same goods.. It has lost it's old charm where local handicraft could be found. Definitely a place you can give a miss unless you're into the haggling game.
By the time we were done walking, it was almost dinner time. 鬼仔街 (guai zai gai) was a stone’s throw away, so we walked there for dinner. It had lots of night photo op spots so do expect to queue a little to take the pictures. This street is known for pubs and hipster restaurants. So definitely visit if it's your thing. We were travelling with Seniors, so we gave pubs a pass this time. But if you've visited before, let me know if there are any pubs worth visiting and I'll go on my next trip!
We were beat after dinner and it was around 8pm. So we retreated back to our hotel for an early night as we prepared to leave the next morning.
KLIA is 1hr from the city center, so do cater sufficient time to travel to the airport on top of your airlines recommended time to arrive before your flight!
And this wraps up my KL series this year (unless I decide on another impromptu trip🤪)
